Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said about this saying of Allah Almighty: Allah Almighty says: "Then, after the distress, He sent down upon you security in the form of drowsiness." Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "On the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, drowsiness was cast over us."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Dirar bin Surad, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Drowsiness that comes at the time of battle is security from Allah Almighty, and drowsiness that comes during prayer is from Satan."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Shu'bah and others declared thiqah (trustworthy), while a group declared him da'if (weak).
