قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى : مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : مَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ فِينَا يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ : مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَأَحْمَدُ فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ - تَقَدَّمَ فِي وَقْعَةِ أُحُدٍ - وَرِجَالُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَأَحْمَدُ فِي حَدِيثٍ طَوِيلٍ - تَقَدَّمَ فِي وَقْعَةِ أُحُدٍ - وَرِجَالُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Previously I did not think that any of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would want this world as well, until, on the occasion of the Battle of Uhud, this verse was revealed about us: 'Among you are some who want this world, and among you are some who want the Hereafter.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and Ahmad recorded it within a long hadith which has already passed in the chapter on the Battle of Uhud. The narrators of al-Tabarani are thiqat (trustworthy).
