Abu al-Zubayr narrates that he heard Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) saying: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made the payment of blood money binding upon every clan (batn, that is, a sub-branch of a tribe). Then he laid down that it is not lawful for the freed slave of a man to take another as his patron (wala') without his master's permission."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Before this, the hadith of Abu al-Malih from his father has already passed; its chain is hasan (good), and it mentions that the brother pays the blood money (on behalf of the woman), not the son.

Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "For the sons of every woman, their paternal kinship ('asabah) is through their father, except for the sons of Fatimah, for I am their 'asabah and I am their father."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains a narrator, Bishr bin Mihran, who is matruk (abandoned). Another route of it will come in the chapter on virtues (al-Manaqib), and another hadith in the chapter on inheritance shares (al-Fara'id).
