بَابُ الْحَدِّ يَجِبُ عَلَى الضَّعِيفِ

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ :
أَنَّ مُقْعَدًا ذَكَرَ مِنْهُ زَمَانَةً كَانَ عِنْدَ دَارِ أُمِّ سَعْدٍ ، فَظَهَرَ بِامْرَأَةٍ حَمْلٌ ، فَسُئِلَتْ ، فَقَالَتْ : هُوَ مِنْهُ ، فَسُئِلَ عَنْهُ ، فَاعْتَرَفَ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ يُجْلَدَ بِأَثْكَالِ عِذْقِ النَّخْلِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man who was extremely frail lived near the house of Umm Sa'd. A woman there was found to be pregnant. She was asked about it, and she said: "It is from this frail man." The man was asked about it, and he confessed to the sin. So, by the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was punished with the stalks of a date-palm cluster.

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ :
أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ زَنَى ، فَسَأَلَهُ ، فَاعْتَرَفَ ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَجُرِّدَ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ حَمْشُ الْخَلْقِ ، فَقَعَدَ فَقَالَ : " مَا يُبْقِي الضَّرْبُ مِنْ هَذَا شَيْئًا " . فَدَعَا بِأُثْكُولٍ فِيهِ مِائَةُ شِمْرَاخٍ ، فَضَرَبَهُ بِهِ ضَرْبَةً وَاحِدَةً .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man who had committed fornication was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) questioned him, and he confessed. By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his upper garments were removed, and he turned out to be an extremely frail man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If he is struck with blows, he will not survive." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a date-palm stalk that had a hundred twigs, and struck him with it a single time.

وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ :
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أُتِيَ بِشَيْخٍ أَحْبَنَ مُصْفَرٌّ ، قَدْ ظَهَرَتْ عُرُوقُهُ ، قَدْ زَنَى بِامْرَأَةٍ ، فَضَرَبَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِضِغْثٍ فِيهِ مِائَةُ شِمْرَاخٍ .
قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ بِاخْتِصَارٍ .

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: An old man was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who suffered from an abdominal ailment; his colour had turned yellow and his veins had become visible, and he had committed fornication with a woman. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck him with a stalk that had a hundred twigs.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded it in abridged form.
