بَابٌ فِي النَّاسِي وَالْمُكْرَهِ

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ - مَثَلُهُ مَثَلُ حَدِيثٍ قَبْلَهُ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - :
" وُضِعَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأُ وَالنِّسْيَانُ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
" وُضِعَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأُ وَالنِّسْيَانُ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the like of what is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the preceding hadith: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are forced into have been lifted from my Ummah (that is, there will be no sin for them)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose hadith is hasan (good), though there is weakness in him.

وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ :
" تُجُوِّزَ لِأُمَّتِي مَا حَدَّثَتْ بِهِ أَنْفُسَهَا ، مَا لَمْ تَكَلَّمُ بِهِ أَوْ تَعْمَلُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "My Ummah has been pardoned for what they think about within themselves, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it."

وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ :

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty has pardoned my Ummah for three things: mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are compelled to do."

وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ :
اكْفُلُوا لِي بِالْعَمْدِ أَكْفُلْ لَكُمْ بِالْخَطَأِ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Guarantee me regarding what is done deliberately, and I will guarantee you regarding what is done by mistake.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated something similar from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Similar to the hadith before it from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), (he said:) "Mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are compelled to do have been lifted from my Ummah."
