Bishr bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Sa'id al-Khath'ami narrates: I went to Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Husayn (that is, Imam Baqir), and his son was with him. He said: "Come and have your meal." I said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, I have already eaten." He said: "This is hindiba (chicory)." I said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, what is special about hindiba (chicory)?" He said: "My father narrated to me from my grandfather that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'There is not a single leaf of hindiba except that there is a drop of the water of Paradise on it.'" Then Imam Baqir brought some oil (or: oil was brought to him), and he said: "Apply some oil." I said: "O son of the Messenger of Allah, I have already applied oil." He said: "This is banafsaj (violet)." I said: "What is special about banafsaj (violet)?" He said: "My father narrated to me from my grandfather that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The superiority of banafsaj over all other oils is like the superiority of the descendants of Abd al-Muttalib over the rest of Quraysh, and the superiority of the oil of banafsaj is like the superiority of Islam over all other religions.'"
Imam Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Artah bin al-Ash'ath, who is accused of fabricating hadith.

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) applied oil to his beard, he would begin first with the part below the lower lip.
Imam Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains al-Hakam bin Abdullah bin Sa'id al-Ayli, who is extremely da'if (weak). Imam Ahmad said: "All of his hadith are mawdu' (fabricated)."

A woman named Lamis narrates: I asked Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her). I said to her: "A woman keeps oil so as to show love to her husband?" She said: "Remove from yourself that thing towards which Allah Almighty will not look with mercy." A woman said to Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her): "O mother!" Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "I am not the mother of you women; rather, I am your sister."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is extremely da'if (weak), though he has been declared trustworthy; and I do not know the woman named Lamis.
