عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ الْجَنَّةَ بَيْضَاءَ وَأَحَبُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَى اللَّهِ الْبَيَاضُ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ هِشَامُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty made Paradise white, and the most beloved (colour) to Allah Almighty is white."

وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ - أَظُنُّهُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِثِيَابِ الْبِيضِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ . وَرَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَكٍّ .

Al-Hasan al-Basri, (the narrator says: I think) from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Hold to wearing white clothes; let your living wear them, and shroud your dead in (clothes of) this (colour)."

وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، وَسَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْبَسُوا الْبَيَاضَ ، كَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " .

Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wear white clothing, and shroud your dead in it."
