Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of the jallalah (an animal that feeds on filth), drinking its milk, eating it and riding it.
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ash'ath bin Biraz al-Hujaymi, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the day of the Conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade eating the meat of the jallalah, drinking its milk and riding it. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:

Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Layth bin Abi Sulaym, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but a mudallis; the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyidah Umm Nasr al-Muharibiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the jallalah, and he said: "Does it not graze on pasture and eat (the leaves of) trees?" The narrator says: Perhaps the other person replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: "Then make use of its meat."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, who is a mudallis but thiqah (trustworthy); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy), and some of them have been criticised in a way that does no harm.

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A cow came upon some wine and drank it. The people feared for it, so they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat its meat; there is no harm in eating it."
Abu Ya'la recorded it as a narration of Baqiyyah. The narrator Baqiyyah is a mudallis. If the narrator Umar is Umar bin Abdullah bin Khath'am, he too is da'if (weak); and if he is the freed slave of Ghufrah, he too is da'if (weak), though he has been declared trustworthy.
