وَعَنْ أُمِّ نَصْرٍ اْلَمُحَارِبِيَّةِ قَالَتْ : سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - عَنِ الْجَلَّالَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَلَيْسَ تَرْعَى الْكَلَأَ وَتَأْكُلُ الشَّجَرَ ؟ " . لَعَلَّهُ قَالَ : بَلَى . قَالَ : " فَأَصِبْ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ، وَفِيهِ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَهُوَ مُدَلِّسٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ ثِقَةٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ كَلَامٌ لَا يَضُرُّ .

Sayyidah Umm Nasr al-Muharibiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the jallalah, and he said: "Does it not graze on pasture and eat (the leaves of) trees?" The narrator says: Perhaps the other person replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: "Then make use of its meat."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Ishaq, who is a mudallis but thiqah (trustworthy); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy), and some of them have been criticised in a way that does no harm.
