Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I ate tharid with a great deal of meat, and when I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I was belching. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Abu Juhayfah! Hold back your belching from us, for those who eat their fill the most in this world will remain hungry the longest on the Day of Resurrection." (The narrator says:) After that, Sayyiduna Abu Juhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) never ate his fill until he departed this world. If he ate something in the morning, he would not eat in the evening, and if he ate in the evening, he would not eat in the morning.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir with various chains. One of the chains in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir contains Muhammad bin Khalid al-Kufi, whom I do not know. The remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains al-Mu'alla bin al-Walid, and I do not know him. The remaining narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Ja'dah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man with a large belly, and, pointing his fingers into his belly, he said: "If this were somewhere other than this, it would have been better for you."

In one narration it is stated that a man saw a dream concerning the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So he (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for him. When he came, he related his dream to him (peace and blessings be upon him). That man had a large belly (he was fat), so he (peace and blessings be upon him), pointing at (or touching) his belly with his blessed finger, said: "If this (flesh/fat) were somewhere other than this place (for example, in jihad in the path of Allah and the like), it would have been better for you."
Al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded the whole of this report, and Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) also narrated it, except that in his narration it is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself who saw the dream about that man. The narrators of all the chains are the narrators of Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim, except for Abu Isra'il al-Jushami, and he too is thiqah (trustworthy).
