Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went into a garden belonging to one of the Ansar. He began taking fresh dates and eating them while he was walking, and I was with him. He turned towards me and said: "O Ibn Abbas! Do not eat with two fingers, for that is the way the devil eats; eat with three fingers."
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, and his narration is hasan (good); the remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
