عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَمْ يَجْتَمِعْ لَهُ غَدَاءٌ وَلَا عَشَاءٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَلَحْمٍ إِلَّا عَلَى ضَفَفٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Whenever bread and meat came together for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the morning meal or the evening meal, there were many people (present to eat).

وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ أَحَبَّ الطَّعَامَ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَا كَثُرَتْ عَلَيْهِ الْأَيْدِي " .

رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most beloved food to Allah Almighty is that on which there are many hands (of those eating)."
Abu Ya'la, and Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded it. Its chain contains Abd al-Majid bin Abi Rawwad, who is thiqah (trustworthy), and there is weakness in him.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " كُلُوا جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا ، فَإِنَّ طَعَامَ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامَ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْكَبِيرِ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْأَوْسَطِ بَحْرٌ السَّقَّاءُ ، وَفِي الْآخَرِ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ السَّمَّانُ ، وَكِلَاهُمَا ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat together and do not eat separately, for the food of one suffices for two, and the food of two suffices for four."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir with similar wording. The chain of al-Mu'jam al-Awsat contains Bahr al-Saqqa', and the other contains Abu al-Rabi' al-Samman, and both of them are da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ ، وَيَدُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَلَى الْجَمَاعَةِ " .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The food of one suffices for two, the food of two suffices for four, and the Hand of Allah Almighty is over the congregation."

وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَقُولُ : " أَيُّكُمْ مَا صَنَعَ طَعَامًا قَدْرَ مَا يَكْفِي رَجُلَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِي ثَلَاثَةً ، أَوْ صَنَعَ طَعَامًا [ قَدْرَ مَا ] يَكْفِي أَرْبَعَةً فَإِنَّهُ يَكْفِي خَمْسًا " .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْبَزَّارِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ الْآخَرِ جَمَاعَةٌ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "Whoever among you prepares food in the amount that suffices two men, it will suffice three; or prepares food that suffices four, it will suffice five."
Al-Bazzar and Tabarani recorded it. Al-Bazzar's chain contains Yusuf bin Khalid al-Samti, and he is da'if (weak); the chain of the other narration contains a group of narrators whom I do not know.
