Majma al-Zawaid 7897 — Gathering together over food
وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The food of one suffices for two, and the food of two suffices for four."
