Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 7899

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The food of one suffices for two, and the food of two suffices for four."
Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Sufyan al-Thawri, Shu'bah and Affan declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is weakness in him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
