بَابُ حَقِّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ .

وَعَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " حَقُّ الزَّوْجِ عَلَى الزَّوْجَةِ أَنْ لَا تَهْجُرَ فِرَاشَهُ ، وَأَنْ تَبَرَّ قَسَمَهُ ، وَأَنْ تُطِيعَ أَمْرَهُ ، وَأَنْ لَا تَخْرُجَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ، وَأَنْ لَا تُدْخِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَنْ يَكْرَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ ضِرَارُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Tamim al-Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The right of the husband over the wife is that she does not keep away from his bed, that she fulfils his oath, that she obeys his command, that she does not go out (of the house) without his permission, and that she does not let in anyone whom he (i.e. the husband) dislikes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Dirar bin Amr, who is da'if (weak).

وَعَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ : خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - النِّسَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَوَعَظَهُنَّ وَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَأَمَرَهُنَّ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالطَّاعَةِ لِأَزْوَاجِهِنَّ ، وَأَنْ يَتَصَدَّقْنَ وَقَالَ : " وَإِنَّ مِنْكُنَّ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ - وَجَمَعَ أَصَابِعَهُ - وَجُلُّكُنَّ حَطَبُ جَهَنَّمَ - وَفَرَّقَ أَصَابِعَهُ - " فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ : وَلِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " لِأَنَّكُنَّ تُكْثِرْنَ اللَّعْنَ وَتَكْفُرْنَ الْعَشِيرَ وَتُسَوِّفْنَ الْخَيْرَ " .

Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the women, admonished and exhorted them, and commanded them to have taqwa (fear) of Allah Almighty, to obey their husbands and to give charity. He said: "Among you are some women who will enter Paradise" - the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) joined his fingers together (and then said this) - "and most of you will be the fuel of Hell" - the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spread his fingers apart (and then said this). A woman said: "O Messenger of Allah! Why is that?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Because you curse a great deal, you are ungrateful to your husbands, and you put off doing good."

وَعَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنَّهَا زَارَتْ أُخْتَهَا عَائِشَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرُ غَائِبٌ فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَوَجَدَ رِيحَ طِيبٍ فَقَالَ : " مَا عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ أَنْ لَا تَتَطَيَّبَ وَزَوْجُهَا غَائِبٌ " .

Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that she went to visit her sister Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), and Sayyiduna al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was not at home at the time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came in and noticed the scent of perfume, and he said: "There is no harm upon a woman if she does not wear perfume while her husband is away (i.e. has gone out of town)."

وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَا أَنَا وَامْرَأَةٌ سَفْعَاءُ الْخَدَّيْنِ إِذَا حَنَّتْ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا وَأَطَاعَتْ رَبَّهَا وَأَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا إِلَّا كَهَاتَيْنِ " وَقَرَنَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and a woman whose cheeks have become pale, while she is tender towards her children, obeys her Lord and guards her chastity, (I and that woman) will be like these two (fingers, in Paradise)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this while joining his fingers together.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا جَزَاءُ عِزْوَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ ؟ قَالَ : " طَاعَةُ الزَّوْجِ وَاعْتِرَافٌ بِحَقِّهِ " .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A woman said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is the due of a woman's affiliation (or relationship) (with her husband)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Obeying the husband and acknowledging his right."
