Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "I have vowed that I will sacrifice my she-camel and do such-and-such." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As for your she-camel, sacrifice her; as for such-and-such, that is from Shaytan."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak), though Shu'bah and al-Thawri declared him thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Abu Isra'il (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque while Sayyiduna Abu Isra'il (may Allah be pleased with him) was praying. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was told: "O Messenger of Allah! This is the man who does not sit, does not speak with people, does not take shade, and he also intends to fast." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should sit down, speak with people, come into the shade, and fast."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, but he (al-Tabarani) recorded these words: Sayyiduna Abu Isra'il (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw him standing in the sun, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is the matter with him?" The people said that he had vowed to stand in the sun. After this the narrator related it as before. The narrators of Imam Ahmad are the narrators of the Sahih.
