Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sells a slave who has property, that property goes to the seller, and if the slave owes a debt, its payment is also the seller's responsibility, unless the buyer has stipulated a condition, in which case the ruling differs. And whoever has pollinated a date palm and then sells that date palm after pollinating it, its fruit goes to the seller, unless the buyer has stipulated a condition, in which case the ruling will differ." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the "Sahih", the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) is reported in abridged form.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator Sulayman bin Musa al-Dimashqi, who is thiqah (trustworthy), though he has been criticised.

Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sells a slave who has property or who owes a debt, the payment of the debt is the seller's responsibility, unless the seller has stipulated a condition on the buyer, in which case the ruling will differ."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; Ishaq bin Yahya bin Ubadah did not meet his grandfather Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him).
