عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا ضَحَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْ أُضْحِيَتِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When one of you offers a sacrifice, let him eat from his sacrifice (that is, from its meat)."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لِيَأْكُلْ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُضْحِيَتِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ ، وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ ، وَقَالَ : رُبَّمَا أَخْطَأَ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every man should eat (the meat) of his sacrifice."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Abdullah bin Khirash, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), and he said: He sometimes makes mistakes. The majority declared him da'if (weak).

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، وَجَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عَطَاءٍ قَالَتَا : وَاللَّهِ لَكَأَنَّنَا نَنْظُرُ إِلَى الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ حِينَ أَتَانَا عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ لَهُ بَيْضَاءَ فَقَالَ : أَيَا أُمَّ عَطَاءٍ ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - [ قَدْ ] نَهَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ نُسُكِهِمْ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ . قَالَ : قُلْتُ : بِأَبِي [ أَنْتَ ] وَأُمِّي فَكَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ بِمَا أُهْدِي لَنَا ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَمَّا مَا أُهْدِيَ لَكُنَّ فَشَأْنُكُنَّ بِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ وَثَّقَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ ، وَضَعَّفَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Abdullah bin Ata' bin Ibrahim narrates from his mother and his grandmother (maternal or paternal) Umm Ata' that both women said: This scene is still before our eyes, as though we were looking at Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) when he came riding his white mule and said: O Umm Ata'! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden the Muslims from eating the meat of their sacrifices beyond three days. I asked: May my father and mother be sacrificed for (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him))! What should we do with the meat that is given to us as a gift? He said: Whatever is given to you as a gift, you may use it.
Ahmad, Abu Ya'la and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it. Abu Hatim declared the man named Abdullah bin Ata' thiqah (trustworthy), while Yahya bin Ma'in declared him da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
