Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blood (that is, the sacrifice) of an off-white (animal) is more beloved to Allah Almighty than the blood (that is, the sacrifice) of two black animals."
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Thifal, about whom Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: there is room for reservation about him (fihi nazar).

Sayyidah Kabirah bint Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with her), who had lived in the time of Ignorance and also accepted Islam at the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), states: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! In the time of Ignorance I buried four of my children alive." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Free four slaves." That woman states: So I freed Abu Sa'id, his two sons Maysarah and Jubayr, and Umm Muyassar. That woman states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blood (that is, the sacrifice) of an off-white animal is purer in the sight of Allah Almighty than the blood (that is, the sacrifice) of two black animals."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Sulayman bin Masmul, who is da'if (weak).
