Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I set out from Madinah with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards Madinah and said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has freed this land from shirk."

Hadith Takhrij«اخرجه ابو يعلي فى المسند ( 6709) اخرجه الطبراني فى المعجم الأوسط (580)»
In one narration the words are: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has purified this town from shirk, provided the stars do not lead them astray."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and al-Bazzar something similar; al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Qays bin al-Rabi', whom Shu'bah and Sufyan al-Thawri declared thiqah (trustworthy), while others declared him weak. The remaining narrators of Abu Ya'la are thiqat (trustworthy). In the Book of Adab
this report is narrated with another chain.

Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) transmits this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, the devils have despaired of being worshipped in this city of mine (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant Madinah) and in the Arabian Peninsula; however, they will stir up discord among you."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains al-Sakan bin Harun al-Bahili, and I have not found anyone who has written his biography.
