عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : نَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ : " لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مَا أَطْيَبَكِ ، وَأَطْيَبَ رِيحَكِ ، وَأَعْظَمَ حُرْمَتَكِ ، وَالْمُؤْمِنُ أَعْظَمُ حُرْمَةً مِنْكِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَكِ حَرَامًا ، وَحَرَّمَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَالَهُ ، وَدَمَهُ ، وَعِرْضَهُ ، وَأَنْ نَظُنَّ بِهِ ظَنًّا سَيِّئًا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked towards the Ka'bah and said: "There is no god but Allah! How pure you are, how pure your fragrance is, and how great your sanctity is! Yet the believer's sanctity is greater than yours. Indeed, Allah Almighty has made you sacred, and Allah Almighty has made sacred the believer's wealth, his blood and his honour, and also that we should think ill of him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains al-Hasan bin Abi Ja'far, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared thiqah (trustworthy).

وَعَنْ حُوَيْطِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ الْبَيْتَ تَعَوَّذُ بِهِ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا فَمَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَيَبِسَتْ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَإِنَّهُ لَأَشَلُّ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ لَيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ مُدَلِّسٌ .

Sayyiduna Huwaytib bin Abd al-Uzza (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting outside the House of Allah during the Jahiliyyah when a woman came to the House, seeking refuge from her husband. Her husband stretched out his hand towards her, and his hand withered. The narrator says: I saw that man in the era of Islam as well, and his hand was paralysed.
