Abu al-Zubayr narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about tawaf around the Ka'bah, and he said: We used to perform tawaf and wipe our hands over the Corner at the beginning and at the end. We did not perform tawaf after the Fajr prayer until the sun had risen, nor after the Asr prayer until it had set. He also said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The sun rises in the horn of Satan."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there has been criticism, but they have graded his hadith hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Banu Abd Manaf! Do not prevent anyone from performing tawaf of this House and praying at any hour of the night or day."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. Imam al-Bazzar said: Abu Musa
narrated this report to us in this way, meaning Abu Musa al-Zamin. He narrated it in the quarter of Banu Umayr in the year forty-eight. Then he narrated this hadith a second time and said: Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us from Ayyub from Ibn al-Zubayr
this report. In that narration he did not mention that
this report is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), and that is the correct version, as transmitted by Ayyub; the reason is that the first time his tongue had slipped.
This report is also transmitted via Abu al-Zubayr from Abdullah bin Babah from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Banu Abd Manaf! Let me never find you in a state where you have prevented anyone from performing tawaf of this House at any hour of the night or day."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir via Imran bin Muhammad bin Abi Layla from Abd al-Karim from Mujahid. If this Abd al-Karim is al-Jazari, then the narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy); and if he is Ibn Abi al-Mukhariq, then this hadith is da'if (weak).

Amr bin Dinar narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) perform seven circuits of tawaf after Asr, then pray two rak'ahs. Then he said: It is disliked (to pray) at the time of sunrise, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the sun rises between the two horns of Satan."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared reliable.

Abu Shu'bah narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Imam Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) performing tawaf after Asr and praying two rak'ahs.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. This narrator Abu Shu'bah is al-Bakri, as al-Mizzi mentioned; I have not found anyone giving his biography.

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are two tawafs for which the one who performs them has his sins forgiven, however many they may be: performing tawaf after the Fajr prayer in such a way that one finishes it at sunrise, and performing tawaf after the Asr prayer in such a way that one finishes it at sunset." The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, what if it is before that or after it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will be joined to it."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Abd al-Rahim bin Zayd al-Ammi, who is matruk (abandoned).
