بَابٌ الشِّتَاءُ رَبِيعُ الْمُؤْمِنِ .

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الشِّتَاءُ رَبِيعُ الْمُؤْمِنِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Winter is the spring of the believer."
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الصَّوْمُ فِي الشِّتَاءِ الْغَنِيمَةُ الْبَارِدَةُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ ، وَلَكِنَّهُ اخْتَلَطَ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fasting in winter is a cool (effortless) spoil."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir. Its chain contains Sa'id bin Bashir, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but became confused (ikhtilat) in his memory.
