بَابٌ : عَلَى أَيِّ شَيْءٍ يُفْطِرُ .

عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُفْطِرَ عَلَى ثَلَاثِ تَمَرَاتٍ أَوْ شَيْءٍ لَمْ تُصِبْهُ النَّارُ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked to break his fast with three dates or with something that had not been cooked on fire.

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ صَائِمًا لَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى نَأْتِيَهُ بِرُطَبٍ وَمَاءٍ ، فَيَأْكُلُ وَيَشْرَبُ إِذَا كَانَ الرُّطَبُ ، وَإِذَا كَانَ الشِّتَاءُ لَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى نَأْتِيَهُ بِتَمْرٍ وَمَاءٍ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .

It is narrated from him: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting, he would not offer (the Maghrib) prayer until we brought him dates and water. He would eat and drink, when the dates were fresh, and when it was winter he would not offer the prayer until we brought him dry dates and water.

It is narrated from him; he said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting, he would drink milk when breaking his fast. I brought him a cup of milk and placed it by his side; he covered it, and during that time he was praying.

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فِي رَمَضَانَ ، فَأَفْطَرَ عَلَى تَمْرِ الْعَجْوَةِ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was travelling during Ramadan, and he broke his fast with Ajwah dates.

وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ : رُبَّمَا أَفْطَرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَلَى الْجِمَاعِ .

Muhammad bin Sirin said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would sometimes break his fast with marital intimacy.
