بَابُ الصَّفِّ بَيْنَ السَّوَارِي .

قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ : لَا تَصْطَفُّوا بَيْنَ السَّوَارِي وَلَا تَأْتَمُّوا بِقَوْمٍ وَهُمْ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Do not form rows between the pillars, and do not pray facing people who are talking among themselves.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ : إِنَّمَا كَرِهْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنَ السَّوَارِي لِلْوَاحِدِ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ .
رَوَاهُ وَالَّذِي قَبْلَهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I disliked praying between the pillars only for one person or two.
Al-Tabarani recorded this narration and the one before it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).
