Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the prayer has begun, no prayer is to be offered other than the one that has begun." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: In the "Sahih" these words are transmitted from this Companion: "No prayer is to be offered except the obligatory one." What this entails is that if a person had not offered the Zuhr prayer and the iqamah for Asr was given, he will offer only the Asr prayer, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At that time no prayer is to be offered other than the one that has begun."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there has been criticism.

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The iqamah was given for the Fajr prayer, and a man stood up and began to offer two rak'ahs. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) pulled him by his garment and said: "Will you pray four rak'ahs in the Fajr prayer?"
Imam Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths on this will come, if Allah wills, in the chapters concerning the iqamah, the disliked times of prayer, the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When the iqamah is given for the prayer, do not stand until you see me," and the mu'adhdhin seeking the imam's permission.
