The time of Fajr prayer

Sayyiduna Mahmud bin Labid al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the Fajr prayer when it has become light, for that brings a greater reward."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains Abdul Rahman bin Zayd bin Aslam, who is "da'if (weak)".

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "My Ummah will remain upon the fitrah (natural way) as long as they offer the Fajr prayer in the light."
Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Hafs bin Sulayman, whom Yahya bin Ma'in, Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him), Abu Hatim and Ibn Hibban declared da'if (weak). Ibn Khirash said: He used to fabricate hadith. According to one report Imam Ahmad declared him "thiqah (trustworthy)", and according to another report he declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the Fajr prayer in the light, for that brings a greater reward (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) it brings a greater reward for you."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it and said: There is disagreement over it from Zayd bin Aslam. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Its chain contains Yazid bin Abdul Malik al-Nawfali, whom Imam Ahmad, Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him), Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and Ibn Adi declared da'if (weak). According to one report Yahya bin Ma'in declared him "thiqah (trustworthy)", and according to another report he declared him da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the Fajr prayer when it has become light, for that brings a greater reward."
Imam al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it; its chain contains Ayyub bin Sayyar, who is "da'if (weak)".

Asim bin Umar bin Qatadah narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the Fajr prayer when it has become light, for that brings a greater reward for you. (The narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) It brings a greater reward."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are "thiqat (trustworthy)".

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Offer the morning prayer when it has become light, for that brings a greater reward."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Mu'alla bin Abdul Rahman al-Wasiti. Imam al-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) said: He is a kadhdhab (liar). People declared him da'if (weak). Ibn Adi said: I hope there is no harm in him. I say: At the time of his death it was said to him: Will you not seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty? He said: Should I not hope to be forgiven, when I have fabricated seventy hadiths on the virtues of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)?

Ibn Bujayd narrates from his grandmother Sayyidah Hawwa (may Allah be pleased with her), who was one of the women who gave the pledge (that is, who had the honour of accepting Islam at the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)). She narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Offer the Fajr prayer when it has become light, for that brings a greater reward."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains Ishaq bin Ibrahim al-Hunayni, whom Imam al-Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on him) and others declared da'if (weak). Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the book "al-Thiqat".

Abdul Rahman bin Yazid narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to offer the Fajr prayer in the light.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.

Harith bin Suwayd narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Keep the prayer short, for behind you are the elderly, the weak and people with work to attend to. When we offered the Fajr prayer behind our imam, our clothes would be on our bodies, and the imam would recite one of the surahs of about a hundred verses; then we would go to Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) and find him still in prayer.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the "Sahih".

Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him): Let there be light for the morning prayer, until, because of the light, people can see where their arrows fall (that is, they can see things that far away). I say: There is another hadith from Sayyiduna Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) about praying in the light, other than this one.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir.

Imam al-Tabarani also recorded in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir from Sayyiduna Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Offer the morning prayer in so much light that people can see as far as an arrow falls."
Both of these narrations were transmitted by Hurayr bin Abdul Rahman bin Rafi' bin Khadij. Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned both of these narrators and did not record any jarh (criticism) or ta'dil (accreditation) about either of them. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Ibn Hibban mentioned the narrator Hurayr in the book "al-Thiqat" and stated that he narrates from his father.
