عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ قَرَضَ بَيْتَ شِعْرٍ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلَاةُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ قَزْعَةُ بْنُ سُوِيدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ أَحْمَدَ وُثِّقُوا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِ أَحْمَدَ قَزْعَةُ بْنُ سُوِيدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ غَيْرُهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ أَحْمَدَ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever recites a line of poetry after the Isha prayer, his prayer of that night is not accepted."
Imam Ahmad, Imam al-Bazzar and Imam al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it. Imam Ahmad's chain contains Qaz'ah bin Suwayd al-Bahili, whom Yahya bin Ma'in declared "thiqah (trustworthy)" and others declared da'if (weak); the remaining narrators of Imam Ahmad have been declared trustworthy.
