Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Teach! Make things easy, and do not make them hard."
Imam Ahmad recorded it; this narration will come in full in the "Book of Manners (al-Adab)". Its chain contains a narrator, Layth bin Abi Sulaym, and he is a mudallis (one who conceals defects in his chain).

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: "A young man from Quraysh came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Give me permission to commit adultery (zina)!' The people turned towards him, rebuked him and said: 'Stop! Stop!' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Come close.' He came close to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'Would you like it (adultery) for your mother?' (that is, would you like your mother to do this, or to be permitted it?) He replied: 'No! By Allah! (that is, I would not like it), may Allah make me a ransom for you!' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'People also do not like it (adultery) for their mothers.' Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'Would you like it (that is, adultery) for your daughter?' He replied: 'No! O Messenger of Allah! By Allah (I would not like it), may Allah make me a ransom for you.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'People also do not like it (adultery) for their daughters.' Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'Would you like it (that is, adultery) for your sister?' He replied: 'No! By Allah! O Messenger of Allah (I would not like it), may Allah make me a ransom for you.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'People also do not like it (adultery) for their sisters.' Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: 'Would you like it (that is, adultery) for your paternal aunt?' He replied: 'No! By Allah! O Messenger of Allah! (I would not like it), may Allah make me a ransom for you.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'People also do not like it (adultery) for their paternal aunts.' Then he asked: 'Would you like it (that is, adultery) for your maternal aunt?' He replied: 'No! By Allah! O Messenger of Allah! (I would not like it), may Allah make me a ransom for you!' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'People also do not like it (adultery) for their maternal aunts.' Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on him and supplicated: 'O Allah! Forgive his sin, purify his heart and guard his private parts.'" The narrator relates: After that, the young man would not turn his attention to anything (of that sort).
Imam Ahmad and Imam Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
