عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ الْإِيمَانَ لَيَخْلَقُ فِي جَوْفِ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَخْلَقُ الثَّوْبُ ، فَسَلُوا اللَّهَ - تَعَالَى - أَنْ يُجَدِّدَ الْإِيمَانَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Faith wears out inside a person's belly (that is, his chest or heart) just as a garment wears out, so ask (that is, supplicate to) Allah Almighty to renew the faith in your hearts."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " جَدِّدُوا إِيمَانَكُمْ " . قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَكَيْفَ نُجَدِّدُ إِيمَانَنَا ؟ قَالَ : " أَكْثِرُوا مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ ، وَفِيهِ سُمَيْرُ بْنُ نَهَارٍ وَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ .

How should we renew our faith?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say 'La ilaha illallah' (there is no god but Allah) abundantly."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good). Its chain contains a narrator, Sumayr bin Nahar, whom Ibn Hibban (may Allah have mercy on him) declared thiqah (trustworthy).
