Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9991

Sayyiduna Abu Dawud al-Mazini (may Allah be pleased with him), who had the honour of taking part in the Battle of Badr, narrates: I went after a man from the polytheists in order to strike him, but his head fell before my sword reached him, and I realised that someone other than me had killed him.
Ahmad recorded it. Its chain contains a man who is not named.
