Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was setting out for Badr, he said: "Indeed Allah Almighty has promised me Badr, and has promised that He will grant me their army as spoils. So whoever kills an enemy will receive such-and-such from the spoils, if Allah wills; and whoever takes a captive will receive such-and-such from the spoils, if Allah wills." When the two armies faced each other, Allah Almighty cast terror into the hearts of the polytheists, and when the fighting began, Allah Almighty routed them. The swift ones among the people pursued them; the Muslims killed seventy men and took seventy captives.
Al-Tabarani recorded it. Its chain contains Amr bin Atiyyah, who is da'if (weak).
