وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ خَطَبَ مَقْدَمَ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : إِنَّا نَمْنَعُكَ مِمَّا نَمْنَعُ مِنْهُ أَنْفُسَنَا ، وَأَوْلَادَنَا فَمَا لَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ : " لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ " . قَالُوا : رَضِينَا . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qays (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a speech on the arrival of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "We will protect you just as we protect ourselves and our children. O Messenger of Allah! What will we receive?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will receive Paradise." They said: "We are pleased with that."
