بَابُ ابْتِدَاءِ أَمْرِ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَالْبَيْعَةِ عَلَى الْحَرْبِ

Majma al-Zawaid 9890 — The beginning of the affair of the Ansar
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : لَمَّا لَقِيَ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - النُّقَبَاءُ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، قَالَ لَهُمْ : " تُؤْوُونِي وَتَمْنَعُونِي " . قَالُوا : فَمَا لَنَا ؟ قَالَ : " لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالْبَزَّارُ بِنَحْوِهِ ، وَرِجَالُ أَبِي يَعْلَى رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the leaders (nuqaba) of the Ansar met the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: "You will give me shelter and protect me." They said: "What will we receive?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will receive Paradise."
