Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took the pledge of allegiance from women, he would say: "They will not display their adornment like the display of the time of Ignorance." A woman said: "O Messenger of Allah! I see that you have laid down the condition upon us that we will not display our adornment. A certain woman stood by me, and now her brother has died." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go and stand by her, then come and give me your pledge."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Musayyab bin Sharik, who is matruk (abandoned).
