Sayyiduna al-Harith bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked my father: "Why have these people gathered?" He told me: "These are people who have gathered against one of their own who has abandoned their religion." The narrator says: We stopped, and there was the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) inviting people to the Oneness of Allah Almighty and to faith in Him, while the people were rejecting what he said and harming him, until it became midday and the people dispersed from around him. Meanwhile a woman came whose throat was exposed; she was carrying a cup and a kerchief. She offered the water to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it and performed ablution. Then he raised his head and said: "O my daughter! Keep your throat covered, and do not be anxious about your father." We asked: "Who is she?" The people said: "This is his daughter, Sayyidah Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
