عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " يَا مُعَاذُ لَأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَى يَدَيْكَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الشِّرْكِ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكَ حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ دُوَيْدَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ مُعَاذًا . وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي الْإِيمَانِ أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوُ هَذَا .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ إِلَّا أَنَّ دُوَيْدَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ لَمْ يُدْرِكْ مُعَاذًا . وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي الْإِيمَانِ أَحَادِيثُ نَحْوُ هَذَا .
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mu'adh, that Allah Almighty should guide through you a single person from among the polytheists is better for you than that you should have red camels."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that Duwayd bin Nafi' did not meet Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him). Some hadith of this kind have already passed earlier in the Book of Faith.
