وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ يَرْبُوعٍ - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لَهُ : " أَنَا أَكْبَرُ أَوْ أَنْتَ ؟ " فَقُلْتُ : أَنْتَ أَكْبَرُ وَأَخْيَرُ مِنِّي ، وَأَنَا أَقْدَمُ سِنًّا .
رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ مُوَثَّقُونَ .

Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Yarbu' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Am I older, or you?" I said: "You (peace and blessings be upon him) are greater than me and better than me, but I am older in age."
Al-Bazzar recorded it (in his Musnad) and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
