عَنْ سَلْمَى بِنْتِ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ زَوْجَهَا اسْتُشْهِدَ فَأَتَتْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ اسْتَشْهَدَ زَوْجِي وَخَطَبَنِي الرِّجَالُ فَأَبَيْتُ أَنْ أَتَزَوَّجَ حَتَّى أَلْقَاهُ فَتَرْجُو لِي إِذَا اجْتَمَعْتُ أَنَا وَهُوَ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَهُ : مَا رَأَيْنَاكَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا مُنْذُ قَاعَدْنَاكَ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ أَسْرَعَ أُمَّتِي بِي لُحُوقًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى . وَسَلْمَى لَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ وَثَّقَهَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ .

A woman named Salma bint Jabir narrates that her husband drank the cup of martyrdom. She came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "I am a woman whose husband has been martyred. Some men have proposed marriage to me, but I refused to marry until I join my husband. So do you hope for me that when my husband and I are united, I will be one of his wives?" Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "Yes." A man who was present with Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "Ever since we have been sitting with you, we have never heard you say anything like this." He replied: "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Of my ummah, the first to join me in Paradise will be a woman from the tribe of Ahmas.'"
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it. I have not found anyone who declared the female narrator Salma trustworthy. The rest of Ahmad's narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
