وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " مَنْ رَابَطَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّارِ سَبْعَةَ خَنَادِقَ كُلُّ خَنْدَقٍ كَسَبْعِ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَسَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ عِيسَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever stands guard for one day in the path of Allah, Allah Almighty will place seven trenches between him and Hell, each trench like the seven heavens and the seven earths."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Isa bin Sulayman Abu Taybah, who is da'if (weak).
