بَابٌ فِيمَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا أَوْ خَلَفَهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ
One who equips a fighter or looks after his family in his absence

وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ مَثَلُ أَجْرِهِ وَمَنْ خَلَفَ غَازِيًا فِي أَهْلِهِ بِخَيْرٍ ، وَأَنْفَقَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ " " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .

Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever equips someone taking part in battle in the path of Allah receives a reward like that ghazi's; and whoever looks after the family of a ghazi in his absence and spends on his family also receives a reward like that ghazi's."
