بَابٌ فِيمَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا أَوْ خَلَفَهُ فِي أَهْلِهِ
One who equips a fighter or looks after his family in his absence

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ عَامَ بَنِي لَحْيَانَ : " لِيَخْرُجْ مِنْ كُلِّ اثْنَيْنِ مِنْكُمْ رَجُلٌ وَلْيُخْلِفِ الْغَازِي فِي أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَلَهُ مَثَلُ نِصْفِ أَجْرِهِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ وَحَدِيثُهُ حَسَنٌ .

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that in the year of Banu Lihyan the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let one man out of every two of you go out, and let the other look after the family and property of the ghazi; he will receive the like of half of the ghazi's reward."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, and his hadith is hasan (good).
