وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ وَرَاهَنَ .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : وَرَاهَنَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بِإِسْنَادَيْنِ وَرِجَالُ أَحَدِهِمَا ثِقَاتٌ .
قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ خَلَا قَوْلَهُ : وَرَاهَنَ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) held a race between horses and set a stake for it. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the "Sahih," however these words are not in it: "and set a stake."
Imam Ahmad recorded it with two chains, the narrators of one of which are thiqat (trustworthy).
