وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ : حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَمَنْ رَبَطَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَانَتِ النَّفَقَةُ عَلَيْهِ كَالْمَادِّ يَدَهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ لَا يَقْبِضُهَا . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ
It is reported from al-Hasan bin Abi al-Hasan that he said to Sayyiduna Ibn al-Hanzaliyyah (may Allah be pleased with him): Narrate to us a hadith that you heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Goodness has been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, and their owners are helped in looking after them. Whoever keeps a horse tethered in the way of Allah, spending on it is like one who stretches out his hand to give in charity and does not withdraw it."
