Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 9321

Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Nothing was more beloved to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) than horses. Then Sayyiduna Ma'qil (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Allah, forgiveness is sought; camels and women as well (were beloved to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)).
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Tabarani recorded it. The narrators of Imam Ahmad are thiqat (trustworthy).
