بَابٌ فِيمَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ وَلَا سَبَبٍ
One who returns to desert life after emigrating without permission or reason

وَعَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ بَدَا جَفَا " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes up desert life becomes harsh."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
