بَابٌ فِيمَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ وَلَا سَبَبٍ
One who returns to desert life after emigrating without permission or reason

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ ، لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ بَدَا بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ ، إِلَّا فِي فِتْنَةٍ فَإِنَّ الْبُدُوَّ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمُقَامِ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah Almighty curse the one who takes up desert life after emigration! May Allah Almighty curse the one who takes up desert life after emigration! May Allah Almighty curse the one who takes up desert life after emigration! Except in the case of tribulation (fitnah), for taking up desert life is better than remaining in the place of tribulation."
