Muslim bin Jarhad narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. A man said: "O Abu Abd al-Rahman! The empty lands have become covered with grass. If you were to buy some goats and go out of the town, you would recover." He said: "Apart from the people of the tribe of Aslam, none of us has been given permission to take up desert life."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abu Maryam Abd al-Ghaffar bin al-Qasim, who is matruk (abandoned).
