Iyas bin Salamah bin al-Akwa' narrates that his father told him that Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Madinah and met Sayyiduna Buraydah bin al-Husayb (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Salamah! Have you gone back after emigrating?" He said: "I seek refuge in Allah from that! I have permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'O people of the tribe of Aslam! Will you take up desert life, where you live in the open winds and dwell in the valleys?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We fear that this will harm us with regard to our emigration.' The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Wherever you are, you will be emigrants.'" (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: A hadith from Sayyiduna Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) is mentioned in the Sahih, without this context.
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Sa'id bin Iyas bin Salamah, and I do not know him. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
