Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 916

Sayyiduna al-Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you talk to people, do not talk to them about what alarms them and weighs heavily upon them."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains the narrator al-Walid bin Kamil. Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "He narrated strange reports," and Ibn Hibban and Abu Hatim declared him trustworthy.
